Podcast
|
Reflection:
No one has ever asked me what my thought process of choreographing a dance is. The hardest part for me was putting it into words. I have been choreographing for years and I just go for it now. What I liked about this project is being able to share my thoughts with my future students. If they have no choreography experience, then I can show them my podcast!

Video Game
Reflection:
I have never made a video game before and the process of it actually wasn’t that hard for me. At the beginning, it was a lot of information. But once you get the process, it is easier to comprehend. You would have to ask yourself the steps out loud for instance, “If your player collides with a boss, what will happen?” Once I started to get the hang of coding, we learned different things we can add such as a health bar, hearts, collectible items, pop-up screens, etc. All those things are not mandatory but I thought it would make the game a little more fun or interesting for my audience. It was not too hard to put them in because I understood what actions and events to give them. Making a “simple” video game is not too hard. But when I play any “professional” video games, I will always think about the process of creating it and I will definitely have an appreciation for the makers. I had a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it for others to try. |
App Review with Lesson Plan
|
|
Reflection:
This app is amazing. You can change any picture from color to black and white. You can also change specific areas to black and white and some can stay in color or vice versa. Being able to manipulate a photograph to make the viewers see what you want them to see is very artistic without words. Banksy played with art like this where he can manipulate his artwork and make it into something meaningful. The lesson plan we created for high school students allow them to take pictures of anything in their everyday lives and manipulate it to show their viewers what they want them to see too just like Banksy. It is a fun app and I highly recommend people try it. |
Animation
|
Reflection:
This is my first time ever making a stop-motion animation. It is a lot of work. You can spend the whole day making your characters/props because you will need every step, every motion, every emotion, etc. Then when it comes time to recording, it is even longer because you have to take a pictures of every step and every second. When I first started this project, I made a short storyboard that did not last long enough for 30 seconds. I spent the whole day making props and taking pictures and it all came out to be about 10 seconds. Because I had to make a minimum of 30 seconds, I ended up adding a bigger story line to my little clip. Now my storyboard extended and so did my script. It was fun doing this project and I learned a lot. Keeping things still as you try to move something else was very difficult. The tripod I used helped a lot because it bent in a way where it filmed straight down. I was afraid the background would accidentally move but when you edit your movie, it isn't as noticeable. I also had trouble with lighting because the camera kept auto-adjusting but luckily, there is a filter in Windows Movie Maker that made my pictures look like cartoons or almost rotoscoping to where the brightness didn't matter. After playing with filters to fix the brightness. I tried putting filters on only specific pictures. I also played with sound effects to give it the drama and suspense my script and story board called for. The filters and the music worked really well together and conveys the story the way I want it. To your left, you will see 2 of my finished products: my final product and then my one with a filter on all the pictures to make it look cartoony. Hope you enjoy! |
Presentation and Quiz
|
Reflection:
I have made many PowerPoints in my life but never was I asked to put an animation/pathway in it. It makes the PowerPoint more exciting to watch and it requires audience participation. This will be perfect for me as a teacher to keep my future students engaged and having fun. The quiz was really fun to make. Making the quiz into a game will help the students stay interested too. Adding pictures, choosing how long students get to answer, and mixing up the correct answer made it fun to make. The pictures I chose, hopefully will keep the students interested. Overall, it was fun to make and I would have my students try to this project out. |
Video Tutorial
|
Reflection:
I learned from a friend how to make a Mini Cheer Bow Keychain but I never had the chance to teach anyone how to do it. Me making this video really shows me how I truly mastered this skill by being able to teach it. Making this video was really fun. The hardest part for me was matching the narration to the video and making sure they stay in sync with each other. The words were pretty hard to sync with the video too but I think it will make it easier for all students whether they are audio learns or visual learns. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this assignments and I want to make more video tutorials on other talent and skills I have. I want to be able to share it and maybe go viral! |
